I'll try and make it over at some point - fitting my favourite hobby around work is a constant problem - not enough hours in the day!Factorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01164747997397980883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-771981302059480178.post-66722391857523916182010-08-24T18:50:50.408+01:002010-08-24T18:50:50.408+01:00Neil, great blog spot. There is little wrong with keeping lists - I have a number but most (bar Norfolk, my UK one and my life list) are in the environs of NE Hants/Surrey. Chasing birds locally has its benefits, most notably petrol costs but your sightings, if properly documented, help produce a picture of the local avifauna and also point other birders in the right direction. Don't get despondent! I have been birding since I was 7 (I am now 44) and I still get the same buzz everytime I go birding and have been keeping lists since my first years. Don't be afraid to make mistakes as well, birding is a fine art sometimes, and if you do no-one will think less of you. PS Happy to give you a tour of Tices Meadow if you wish. I did forget to tell you how far you have to walk and I have only once ventured as far as the Spitend Hide. It is one hell of a walk back to the car park.Graham Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12908280556207762311noreply@blogger.com
